RusEnergy agency is an independent privately-owned company established in 2000 by a group of Russian experts with a long experience in consulting and publishing business. The agency specializes in monitoring and analysis of tendencies in oil and gas industry of Russia, Central Asia, Azerbaijan and Ukraine.

We believe that our mission is to make investment trends in the industry more transparent, comprehensible, and predictable for our clients.

The clients of RusEnergy are oil and gas companies with business plans in the former Soviet Union, international lenders and auditors, legal firms, equipment and technologies suppliers, academic organizations, and foreign governmental and non-governmental entities.

Yuri Kogtev, CEO and Partner

A graduate of the Moscow Lomonosov University, he pursued a journalistic career at the Moskovsky Komsomolets and Leninskoe Znamya newspapers, and at the ITAR-TASS news agency in 1979-1991. Between 1991 and 1999, he was a Board of Directors member and the Head of the Moscow office of RPI, Inc. (U.S.A.), and the editor of the Russian Petroleum Investor monthly. Since 2000 he has occupied the position of the CEO and partner of RusEnergy agency.

Mikhail Krutikhin, Partner

A graduate of the Institute of Oriental Languages of the Moscow Lomonosov University in 1970, he majored in Iranian philology, and obtained a PhD degree in modern history from the Moscow-based Academy of Social Sciences in 1984. In 1972-1992 he made a career at the TASS news agency including journalistic missions to Iran, Syria, Egypt, and Lebanon. In 1993 he joined the RPI, Inc, and made it to the position of the executive editor and then editor of the Russian Petroleum Investor monthly. Since 2000, he has been a partner of RusEnergy
